 The SlabSense Substrate and Soil Moisture, Temperature, and Electrical Conductivity (EC) sensor is an accurate tool for monitoring volumetric water content (VWC), temperature in soil and soilless substrates, and electrical conductivity. It sealed with resin packaged plastic body with sensing rods which can be insert directly into the soil or substrate with long time stability.

 Furthermore, the sensor can equip with the air humidity and temperature sensor, which can measure ambient temperature, humidity, vapor pressure and vapor pressure deficit. Vapor pressure deficit is independent of temperature and is a more accurate measure to predict plant transpiration and water loss than relative humidity, this is very useful in greenhouse control to maintain a greater vapor pressure deficit (greater than 0.5 kPa) to allow plants to effectively transpire and prevent foliar diseases.

 The sensor is applicable for science research, irrigation, greenhouse, smart agriculture etc.
